Changelog:

This is mostly a maintenance release. This should be the last of the 0.8 series. We are trying to fix some API warts in 0.9 and will be slightly binary (but not (much) source) incompatible. This is the first time we have published for scala 2.10 in addition to 2.9.2 (thanks Adam Pingel!)

0.9.0 should be based on Cascading 2.2 and we plan to use the new support for type checking in the fields based API.

The goal is a release every six weeks, so we expect the next release at the end of June or beginning of July.

Thanks to everyone who submitted code to this release:

Oscar,

I cant find any public repo that contains 0.8.5. http://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.twitter/scalding_2.9.2 only returns 0.8.3

Hey Mansoor, after 0.8.3 we split scalding into submodules; scalding now resides in scalding-core_2.9.2.

Hi,
Shouldn't we update the "Building" paragraph on README.md?

Thanks
