Thinking about getting the band back together

It's been a while, holiday craziness is over, and I've got beer.
Anybody still have interest in getting together, albeit sporadic or monthly or whatever works for most.
Dusting off this forum for some feedback, lets hear it gentlemen.

Yes, I'd like to start meeting again.  Wednesday evenings still work well for me.

We were doing third Wednesday of every month, to create a 1 week stagger with SAAZ meetings, which are 2nd Tuesday.  What are everyone's thoughts?  Third Wed of  Feb would be the 20th.

 

I also definitely have some beer to share.  Aaron helped me fill an 8 gal used rye whiskey barrel with a fine Scottish Wee Heavy.  Even spiced some with cinnamon & nutmeg.  Eager to share...

I'd be interested as well...whether we want to designate a regular occurring day, or maybe it's best to check with everyone' schedules in advance and settle on a day each month (seems to have been our problem in the past).  

I too have a bunch of beers on draft right now that are worthy of sharing...likewise I have loaded up on grains and hops if anyone needs any.   My basement is always available as a meeting spot, or we can check back in with the Avenue and see if they'd have us.

Also, Wizard of SAAZ is coming up on Fri & Sat, Feb 15 & 16 at Lock 3 in Akron...and the entry deadline is any day now (drop-off deadline is next week I believe).  They also need stewards too, just like last year.

Glad to see there is still some interest.
My schedule is flexible during the week.
Not sure if we'd be better off starting a discussion near the beginning of each month and hammering out a time to  meet that way, or going with our old procedure.
I could also host once in a while too, especially once the weather gets nice.
Lets keep the conversation going with some thoughts on what works best for everyone.

Yes.  Joe and I have only run two batches so far and it worked extremely well.  We still need to tweak the process some.  It is pretty slick and dead quiet.

You'll have to come over for a brew session.

Would it make sense to have one person in charge each month?  They could plan a meeting based on feedback from all interested members.  They could choose to host at home, a bar/restaurant, brewery, avenue, etc?

Here is my 0.02 cents. I think we need to setup the meetings same day every month. This way its not confusing to new members and we don't have have to worry about people not getting the memo. I like the idea of using avenue as our main default spot but setting up a system that people can volunteer. I also think having some sort of technical discussion each meeting would go a long way..and we could rotate who's in charge of that every month. I've had some pretty hardcore financial woes and lack of time and haven't brewed since like June. However I plan to get back in the game and would love to get things started up again in Feb.
