Hi! I'm trying to research how much Casbin is fit for the purposes of my current project. We are developing in Python so my focus is on pycasbin, and the main problem I've ran into is that the documentation seems to be mostly oriented towards the golang implementation. This is understandable, but I am curious if there is a comprehensive overview of the features not (yet) available in the Python version? I need to evaluate if it is complete enough for our purposes, and if so I'm more than happy to contribute to future development to bring it up to a more complete feature set. Thank you!

Best,

Berislav

Hi Berislav,

I don't know if the dimensions of the table is working for you. Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Yang

Thank you Yang! I'm still reviewing whether PyCasbin is the way we will go, but I will certainly post any questions to GitHub.

All the best,

Berislav

Hi Berislav,

Can you send your feature request about API in PyCasbin as a GitHub issue here: https://github.com/casbin/pycasbin/issues ? So our Casbin developers can all know about your requirements for new features. Because I'm not the actual main developer for PyCasbin. Raising the GitHub issue will lead you directly to Casbin developers including him. We will reply to you there. Thanks!

Regards,
Yang

Hi Yang, my apologies for not responding sooner.

Yes, this matrix looks good, I'm just a little concerned about the listed lack of RBAC and management APIs. The documentation also seems to imply that they both exist in PyCasbin, as well as the model management UI -- but I have a feeling that this part is just copied over from the golang docs? Thank you!

All the best,

Berislav
