Dear all,

The second edition of "Model Predictive Control: Theory, Computation, and Design" by James B. Rawlings, David Q. Mayne, Moritz M. Diehl
is now available on Amazon:

www.amazon.com/dp/0975937731

The new edition has a new coauthor, Professor Moritz M. Diehl, and a new chapter, Chapter 8,
``Numerical Optimal Control,'' which provides a comprehensive treatment of methods for the numerical solution of the MPC optimization problem.

The new edition also comes with a software release for MATLAB and Octave based on CasADi and MPCTools. The latter is a CasADi-based high-level interface to linear and nonlinear MPC written by Michael Risbeck. This software enables the solution of all of the examples and exercises in the text requiring numerical calculation and can be downloaded from:

www.che.wisc.edu/~jbraw/mpc

New topics in the book include: stochastic MPC, discrete actuators, economic MPC,
distributed MPC of nonlinear systems, software for computing explicit MPC, new state estimation results for bounded disturbances.

Best regards,
Joel

Hi Joel,

this link doesn't work? Is there a new address available for the book?

The link URL appears to have changed. I've updated my post above. The new address (for the second printing) is https://engineering.ucsb.edu/~jbraw/mpc/MPC-book-2nd-edition-2nd-printing.pdf

Hi all, Is there a way to get access to the solution manual of this book.

Thanks,
