What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. cd /usr/local
2. svn co http://casacore.googlecode.com/svn/tags/casacore-1.5.0
3. cd casacore-1.5.0
4. export CASACORE_DATA="/usr/local/casacore-1.5.0/build"
5. cmake28 -DUSE_HDF5=ON -DUSE_FFTW3=ON \
-DDATA_DIR='${CASACORE_DATA}/measures/data' ..
6. make
7. cd measures
8. tar -jxvf /usr/local/kits/measures_data.tar.bz2
9. cd ..
10. make test
[11. make install]

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

At make test, it reports:
89% tests passed, 54 tests failed out of 478

Hardware: Supermicro server with Intel E3-1230 v2 3.30GHz CPUs
memory: 32GB

OS: Scientific Linux 6.5
kernel: 2.6.32-431.11.2.el6.x86_64

Followed the instructions given in
https://code.google.com/p/casacore/wiki/BuildInstructions

as a step in preparing for LOFAR software:
http://lofarathamburg.wordpress.com

Please kindly refer to the log attached on other system details.

A complete new user, no idea the significance on the above errors.
But the subsequent step 11 did seem to proceed despite of the CTest
failures.

Please kindly advise.

Even if the measures_data.tar.bz2 was prepared, some test fails, like in
the appendix. The float numbers in the test does not deviates much. I guess
the cause is that the data got updated.

Perhaps some minimal data (a subset of measures_data.tar.bz2, or generated)
could be bundled with the source so that any update in the test data is
accompanied with the corresponse update in the unit tests.

The full build log (by debian packaging tools) is attached for reference.
