The paperwork is at escrow, so we should be getting it for review any time now. We'll probably go sign it on Tuesday! It should take about an hour.
Surprisingly enough, this does not mean we will close on Tuesday. Or even that we will fork over the cash. In fact, we can sign on Tuesday, then wire the money on Wednesday, and close on Thursday. The county says when you're closed, and apparently it takes them 2 days after you sign the paperwork.
This is all very strange to me. I would have thought the signatures, money and keys all changed hands at the same meeting. I think it's Washington state being weird.
Anyway, closing is the day we get the keys. We're still on track for Thursday. This is our last weekend living in Seattle!
I can't wait to get this done. These last couple weeks have been hard. I hate the waiting, but it's almost over! AAaahhH!
We still have to figure out some of the utilities. But that's another post.
