About three weeks ago the lights in the kitchen stopped working. We have, needless to say, been freaking out about that a little bit. Electricians, dollar signs, fire hazard, expense, etc. Today all that changed. I fixed it!

And here's the punchline. I "fixed it" by accidentally hitting the wrong light switch in the stairwell. That's all it was. Had to flip the other switch.

Of course, why anyone would install two light switches where you have to work both of them to turn the lights on is anybody's guess. I suppose binary logic fans would be happy, having a real world example of an AND gate in their kitchen. For everybody else, it's just doubling the work. Oh well, at least we know how it works now.
