I have just reserved a website domain name for our group ...

I only reserved it for a year at a cost of $35. I hope that the group
will reimburse me.

Good thought. I would move for the group to reimburse you as soon as
we have funds :)

I have a background as web designer so can perhaps assist with the
development of whatever content goes on the site.
