Hello Community,

Happy Friday! Here are a few items we'd like to share with you this week:
  • Two new blog posts
  • New release
    • ytt v0.44.0 is out! Check out release notes here.
  • Need community input on a few items:
    • Do you use any of our experimental tools, such as kwt or terraform-provider? Let us know via replying to this email or in our slack channel. We are doing some cleanup of our repos as we migrate to the new org as a CNCF project and it will be helpful to know how no longer supporting these tools may affect others.
    • imgpkg feature proposal revival
      • Problem statement: When users use `imgpkg` to copy a bundle between repositories, `imgpkg` concentrates all the copied OCI Images into the destination repository. This behavior is unexpected by some users and is cause the following problems.
      • This was a feature proposal from March 9, 2021, that has recently seen a lot of interest. We want to know more from others if this is something they'd like to see us work on next.
        • Please add a comment to the proposal if you would benefit from this feature being added to imgpkg, or reply to this email.
    • Inclusive Naming/Language check across repos
      • Before becoming a CNCF project we used the guidance of VMware's inclusive language tools to check our repos and website for any offensive terms/words. We now plan on using the guidance of Inclusive Naming Initiative. Here is a pull request as we get started. Let us know if you have any concerns about this decision.
  • Next community meeting is December 14 (last one of the year!)
As always, we'd love to know more about how you are using any of the Carvel tools. Please share with us and the rest of the community how you’re using Carvel within this pinned issue!

Thanks and have a great weekend!
