Important Updates from Carvel

Hi Community and Happy New Year!! 

We're already two weeks into 2023 and have exciting developments happening across Carvel. See below for a breakdown of what to know:

• We are wrapping up the final items of the onboarding process to become a Cloud Native Computing Foundation Sandbox project. One of the biggest tasks is moving from vmware-tanzu organization on GitHub to the vendor-neutral carvel-dev org. We anticipate having all of our repos migrated to this new org by the end of next week. 
  • The biggest thing to keep in mind for our users: This will only likely affect those that are using any Carvel tool as a Go module - the URL will change!
• We are looking to expand the number of folks outside of VMware that contribute to Carvel and become maintainers of the tools. Expect a blog post in the next few weeks for how to get involved and steps to become a maintainer. Please reach out if you're interested in becoming an active contributor and/or maintainer!
• We had a lively and very engaging community meeting on January 11 to kick us off for the new year with lots of input from community members and great discussion. We highly recommend checking out the recording of it here.
• On January 5, Leigh Capili went in great detail into all the Carvel tools on Enlightning with Whitney Lee. Watch the full playback here.
