Dear CARTOOL community,

First of all thank you for generously sharing your tool with us. I am a new user but as far as I read form your papers I will definitely apply micro state analysis in my future work.

We are also using BioSemi system here and work on .bdf files. However, we use EEGLAB to conduct some processing steps. I was wondering whether it would be an easy task for you to provide means to import such files into CARTOOL. Or, would you suggest we convert these files into some other formats (e.g., back to bdf or edf, or mat) then import them into CARTOOL?

Thank you,
Baris

Hi Baris,

I generally use the following script to export the EEGLAB sets as BDF files to Cartool:

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Export EEG data as .bdf file to Cartool
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

subj_name = {the_name_of_the_subject}
pop_writeeeg(EEG, [subject_name '.bdf'], 'TYPE','BDF');

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

Best,
Markus
