Hello all Cartool users,

I have uploaded a few MATLAB functions or scripts that might be useful
to others among you. They allow reading some of the file types created
by Cartool in MATLAB (for you to do whatever you need to do on them),
and save them again.

File types supported:
- reading: .ep(h), .sef, .els, .freq (alpha version)
- saving: .ep(h), .sef

I also included a few functions or scripts allowing changing the
reference channel, computing the GFP, spatial correlation and
dissimilarity etc.

The files bear names that should clearly indicate what it is they do.
Also, some of the more thoroughly tested files come with a little help
section that explains their syntax (in other cases, sensible variable
names are usually chosen so as to facilitate understanding).

They come in a single zipped file. All files should be unzipped in the
working directory of MATLAB (if you don't specify another one, it's
usually the "MATLAB/work" sub-directory). It's better to have all of
them as some scripts call others.

*** A few caveats ***

- all of the things done by these scripts can be done much better
directly by Cartool, so only use them if you need to do something nice
to your data in MATLAB that isn't available (yet) in Cartool

- these routines have not been thoroughly debugged

- I have no background in programming languages, therefore programming
might rightfully be considered poor

- I can help with problems in these files, but results are not
guaranteed, and you should not expect formal support

- MAKE BACKUP COPIES OF ALL FILES YOU INTEND TO MANIPULATE WITH THESE
FILES! some scripts might not tell you that they are going to
overwrite your files. THIS IS CAPITALLY IMPORTANT (ha-ha)!

I would greatly appreciate any comments, and especially if you solve
problems that you find in these scripts (or have some great scripts of
your own), please upload them here!

Thanks for sharing these utilities, it's easier to update existing
ones rather than writing them from scratch!
