Hi,
First of all, and as a
preamble, one has to already have some grasp of what EEG is, as Cartool
implicitly assumes some knowledge of thet modality.
Back to
your question, there are only partial tutorials on Cartool right now,
and no full tutorial to start from scratch. This is totally lacking and
we work on that... We usually teach Cartool IRL, either within advanced
EEG classes, during workshops on the sides of conferences, or by simply
having people visiting us.
Here are
currently
your options:
- I strongly recommend reading this article which makes a lot of references to Cartool: "EEG Source Imaging: A Practical Review of the Analysis Steps" by Michel and Brunet, 2019
- There are a few YouTube tutorials here.
- The
Cartool embedded
Help itself is ripped with exhaustive technical informations. It is not on-line, though, you have to have Cartool installed and running, then press F1 to open the Reference Guide. Chapters on Micro-States and Source Localizations are quite big.
As
I see it, I think the best would be for me to upgrade the YouTube
tutorials, and covering the basics of display, then micro-states, then
source localization. But a 10 minutes video takes a good 1 day of
un-interrupted work... The Reference Guide could also be ported to an
on-line version, which would also help when searching from the internet.
I hope this gets you started...
Best,
Denis
