After a bit of work, today, I'm having some issues getting to any of my tables, etc... Dashboard opens, but the div that should lists the tables never appears.  Just the progress dots, indefinitely.  Tried several browsers, and also tried using my private VPN, in case our University IT has identified CartoDB as a SQL injection attack, again. But, I get nothing.

Hi Stacy!

Could you check again? Seems like it is working now. In any case we are checking the account.

Cheers!

I just fixed it, did you execute any DROP TABLE SQL on your account or
did any special query before this started happening? There was a table
that had metadata attached to it but didn't exist on your PostgreSQL
database, that's why the dashboard was failing.

I was just signing in to say it was back. Weird.

So, is it possible I am causing problems using ALTER TABLE/RENAME TO instead of using the GUI to change table names? I just reloaded a dataset and renamed it using SQL, but it doesn't show in my dashboard, even though I can call it using a SELECT statement.

Yes, that's what happening exactly, we don't support renaming over SQL
yet, sorry :(

OK, I will be more careful with what I am doing. I'm working through the early release PostGIS in Action book, using CartoDB, rather than installing on my machine. Sorry for breaking CartoDB! ;-)

You're not breaking CartoDB, don't worry.
Only you're not supposed to use the Dashboard while reading that book.
Consider using the ``cdbsql`` script from CartoDB-SQL-API :)
