Dear Members
Our Summer Concert will take place on Saturday July 6th 2024. We will be singing folk songs from collections arranged by Cecilia McDowall, A Fancy of Folksongs and John Rutter, The Sprig of Thyme. Additionally we will be singing Five Folk Songs, arranged by Vaughan Williams and Six Irish Folk Songs, arranged by Stanford. Links to the music on Spotify are appended at the foot of this email.
Please reply to this email to let me know if you hope to sing in this concert and if you will need to hire the music. There will be a small charge to hire the music but I don't anticipate it will exceed £12. The cost remains to be finalised once hiring arrangements are concluded. The music will be distributed at the first rehearsal after Easter, on Monday April 8th.
I appreciate this request comes well in advance of the date of the concert, but I need to have some idea of possible numbers before I make arrangements to hire the scores. An early response would be appreciated, but in any event by the 28th February. If you have any questions, or have trouble using email, please chat to me at the Monday rehearsal.
