Meet the Mendelssohn’s
Saturday 28 October at All Saints Church Carshalton
For the work Hiob, by Fanny Mendelssohn, copies of the score providing only the vocal parts, SATB, are on order and will be available for all at the beginning of next term. Some of you indicated at last week's rehearsal that you would like to purchase a more expensive score, which includes the piano reduction alongside the vocal parts. The cost of this score is £15.20 and you would need to bear the cost yourself. If you would like Ros to purchase a copy on your behalf, please reply to this email or speak to her at next week's rehearsal. If you wish to purchase directly online, here is the link:
John Needham will be producing a weekly guide to the life and music of Fanny Mendelssohn and plans to have the first issue(s) ready by the beginning of September.
Social
Monday 17 July - instead of the usual rehearsal we will have a social event. Rik is organising catering so please sign up on Monday if you would like to come. (£10 per head). We hope as many of you as possible can come - it would be great to see everyone then, even if you haven’t managed to make rehearsals or the concert this term. If you are not at rehearsal on Monday and would like to come to the social please reply to this email.

Foreign trips
If you would be interested in a foreign trip with the choir there are a number of possibilities

or we could join with another choir to organise a trip to one of Sutton’s partner towns in Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, France or Italy

Volunteers Needed - your choir needs you..
We are always looking for help to run the choir. Currently Jan needs help in her secretarial role and Paul F is looking for help with his treasurer role. Please volunteer if you can - just speak to someone on the committee or reply to this email.
