Dear Choir Member

Welcome to Penny Homer 

Term got off to a great start as we warmly welcomed Penny Homer as the Society's new Musical Director and we now look forward to the start of a new chapter of singing. We are all delighted to see new members and returning choir members - welcome everyone. We hope we will continue to see members returning to the choir over the next few weeks.

Spring term programme

Last Monday Penny did an initial run through of key sections of the Rossini Messe Solennelle - future rehearsals will work through the detail. A further Rossini piece 'O Salutaris Hostia' will be available next week. Penny is putting together a selection of listening files which will be available in a week or two. 

John Needham is writing a weekly biography of Rossini - please see the two attachments - Rossini Weekly Biography.pdf and Rossini Issue 1.pdf. Be sure to read them they are very interesting. More to follow…

Christmas Concert Collection

The collection raised an amazing £800 for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine fund.  At next week’s rehearsal anyone can contribute further to the collection - remember we can only take cash.

Increased Subscriptions

A gentle reminder that subscriptions have increased by £60 to cover the period until July 2023. 

This extra £60 can be paid in one of the following ways:

OR if you pay by standing order, please increase the amount from £10 per month to £20 per month.
