Live webinar - this coming Saturday
Learn to write music like Mozart
Hi. We hope you are getting as excited as we are about our next live webinar on Saturday.
We are going to be getting inside the head of Mozart by taking a detailed look at his Piano Sonata in Bb, K570. How is it structured? How does Mozart come up with melodic ideas? How does he add musical character through the rhythm? How does he decide which keys, chords and modulations to engage with? How does he vary the music through texture, dynamics, and articulation?
Having studied the work we are then going to set about writing our very own piece in the style of Mozart.
Who is this webinar for?
- Any composer who wants to refine their own technique.
- Anyone learning to play this piece.
- Anyone wanting to develop their skills in musical analysis.
- Anyone who is playing Classical period music and wants to know how this kind of analysis can inform interpretation.
