Three events this coming Saturday 14th September:
Wallington, Carshalton & Beddington Horticultural Society are holding their Autumn Show at the Holmwood Hall, Stanley Park Road from 2-4pm

Barbershop comes to Sutton –there will be performances throughout the day by groups of singers in the High Street and St Nicholas Centre, an afternoon workshop in the Secombe function room and in the evening the ‘Big Barbershop Show’ featuring guest quartets and five choruses
(Surrey Harmony, Capital Chorus, The Kentones, Guildford Harmony and the North Surrey Downsmen).  Tickets available from 020 8770 6990.

Wallington, Beddington and Carshalton Musical Society kick off their Autumn season at Wallington Library (Shotfield entrance), 7.45pm with the following programme:
Songs by Purcell, Schumann, Dring, Rogers, Bernstein and Kern featuring Victoria Miller (soprano) and Graham Brown (piano)
Piano pieces by Chopen, Saint-Saens/Godowsky, Godowsky and Grainger featuring Richard Hare on piano.
Sonata in E flat for clarinet and piano,Op.167 by Saint-Saens featuring Ivan Ivanov (clarinet) and Andrew Mitchell (piano)
Non members £4 at the door, Students £2.

17thCarshalton Jazz Club present a Tribute to Sinatra by the Len Philips Seven + Paul Wood.  Charles Cryer Studio at 8pm.  Tickets 020 8647 2114
17thCarshalton & Wallington RMS’ concert at Wallington Library at 7.45pm is entitled ‘My Summer Times on Bredon Hill’ by Peter Avis.
17 – 21st – The third Art as Therapy Exhibition mounted by SAC in the Europa Gallery during normal library opening hours.  Try to pop in and see this interesting exhibition.
20thSutton Russian Circle’s regular meeting at Friends Meeting House features a short talk ‘Bringing a matrioshka fairy tale to life’ by Jeff Temple and an illustrated lecture ‘Faberge Imperial Easter eggs – the 22 greatest masterpieces’ by Bob Dommett.
