Zadok the Priest & Other Germanic Works
A Streatham Choral Christmas
Would you be willing to circulate the details of our upcoming concerts to your members (if they do not clash with your own)? We would, of course, be willing to return the favour for any of your concerts and events.
The main item of our Autumn concert will be Handel's triumphant Zadok the Priest (which has been sung at every British coronation since 1727). This will be paired with complimentary Germanic works, such as Schubert's Mass in G.
The centre piece of our charity Christmas concert will be Vaughan Williams' magical Fantasia on Christmas Carols. We will also perform some traditional carols and readings, all washed down with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. There will be a retiring collection in aid of a local charity.
The Autumn concert will take place on Saturday, 10th November 2018 and the Christmas concert on Saturday, 15th December 2018. Both concerts will begin at 7.30 pm in St Leonard’s Church on Streatham High Road.
Tickets can be bought online, on the door, or from members of the choir. Links for the online ticket sales are below:
I do hope some of your members can join us as part of our audience.
