I want to thank everybody who has been coming out to our phonebanks
these last two weeks, we need you to keep coming. If you haven't
helped out yet, we need you now more than ever.

Most of you have received emails or seen news coverage of angry and
totally irrational opponents of health care (and the president).
Their
claims are outrageous - and not based in the facts about health care
reform. They are funded directly and indirectly by industry to stop
any progress on health care that interferes with insurance company
profits. The insurance industry spent $133 million dollars to kill
health reform in the last three months alone.

While health insurance executives of the 10 biggest health insurance
companies got paid $690 million over the last decade, most people are
one serious illness away from bankruptcy. Don't let Members of
Congress hide behind these fear-mongering tactics. Congress must pass
legislation to fix this - a robust public health insurance plan, make
health care affordable to families, prevent medical bankruptcies,
stop
denials of pre-existing conditions, and regulate the big insurance
industry.

Help us make calls to win progressive health reform in 2009!
