District Continues Substance Abuse Seminars
Substance Abuse Awareness Seminars for parents of students interested in participating in extracurricular activities will continue each Tuesday night thru September from 6-8 p.m. in the Student Activity Center at Carroll Senior High.

Beginning October 1, extracurricular students will be suspended from participation until a parent attends a seminar. New students will be eligible to participate for one month after they move in to the district to allow their parents the opportunity to attend one of the Substance Abuse Awareness Seminars. Parents with extenuating circumstances should contact Dr. Daniel Presley at 817-949-5804 to make other arrangements. The district has trained almost 2,000 parents since May.

From October thru December, the seminars will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at Carroll Senior High from 6 to 8 p.m.

this, unfortunitaly, i think, applies to us. so make ur parents go.

I think the school district needs to get its head out of its ass, and understand that most of the time, the parents don't give a shit.  If there's going to be a mandatory meeting, make it for the students.

Funny story, at UIL competition wrestling freshman year i was suspected of steroids.  dont know how, I wasnt jacked, and i had decent sized man parts.  still do actually :)
