Messed up Sidebar on Home Page

Hi,

I mucked up my sidebar on my home page by messing with sidebar-
default.php. I would like to add code to make sure my sidebar returns
with the widgets I have in place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also forgot to mention that 85% of the time when I try to
edit sidebar-default.php I get redirected to my 404 error
page. So weird. :-(
