Carrick Residents,
City Councilman Anthony Coghill has funded a traffic study along Brownsville Rd from Minooka to Matilde St.  The City of Pittsburgh Planning Dept. and DOMI are seeking direct input from the residents to identify problem areas along this route.  After the survey is completed a plan will be developed to remedy the safety issues identified.  State Representative Jessica Benham and Senator Costa have both committed to seeking state funding for implementation of the plan and will assist in securing those funds. So now is the time to have your voices heard.  Please visit the website below and drop a pin and comments or take the alternative survey.  The focus of the study is Pedestrian/Vehicle Safety,  Safe School Zones, and Public Transit Accessibility.
Other concerns you may have might be related to poor lighting, speeding, dilapidated sidewalks, and dangerous crosswalks along the corridor.  Please give them insight into issues you have been experiencing.

Be sure to read the Project Scope and Background Information file to see what has been suggested so far to remedy identified safety issues.

Thanks for your participation,
