Progress update of Carrick Community Council's community activity

In case you missed our June public meeting, here is an update on our activities. We are working hard for the Carrick community!

★Our new Carrick Coordinator, Karen Lucarelli, has hit the ground running managing outreach for the Carrick Community Council's Property Stabilization Program.

○ The CCC secured the grant to fund her position with the Hilltop Alliance to work exclusively with Carrick residents in need of support.

★Hosted our annual Easter Egg Hunt 🐰

★Hosted our 6th annual Earth Day Cleanup 🌎

★Hosted a first-time home buyer workshop in partnership with NeighborWorks

★Re-launched Block Watch Meetings first Tuesday of the month. The July 11th and August 1st meetings will be held at 25 Carrick Avenue due to the summer closure of Concord Elementary.  Meetings start at 6:30PM.

★Sponsored Carrick Youth Association Co-Ed Baseball Team

★

★Launched an updated website You can find us on the web at Carrickcommunitycouncil.com

★Recertified as Carrick’s Registered Community Organization RCO with the City of Pittsburgh

★Partnered with Phillips Recreation Center's "Set it Off to Summer," today Thursday June 29th from 2:30PM to 8PM at the Rec Center. Mayor Gainey will join the event at 5PM and a community dinner will be served at 6PM.  Plan to join the fun!

★Developed an anti-litter campaign in partnership with Concord School!
