Only last I was talking to an old colleague in Grenada, one of the
questions I put to him was why were there no cricket matches been
played in Grenada.
The answer I got was not this time round, well we should all be asking
the question today.
We must ask was it the West Indies Cricket Board, or was it our
government that was not ready.
What ever the reason, we should shouting loud across the airways
letting everyone know we have a great stadium in Grenada.
If it was the West Indies Cricket Board that over looked Grenada, we
must shouting the board must go.
As far as I'm concern that Board is nothing more than a Plank that
gave us in Brian Lara a captain that could not set a cricket field.
In Viv and Gordon we have to of our greatest cricketing heroes, they
must be called upon to replace the planks and form and select a Board.
If it's our government that was not ready, we should be shouting in
their ears, to stand up and do Grenada's business.
What I mean by that is to make their presence be felt on the world
stage, by doing the islands will benefit.
We must seize the moment, get the television cameras in and show off
our stadium to the world, and the government must lead that call.
I hope in the next few days when doing a you tube and type in Grenada
cricket ground I can find lots of You Tube video.
I hope the Grenada tourist Board will see the wisdom in these actions,
and give it, it's full attention.
This is not something the finance minister can argue with, this would
have been a good time to get some foreign currency into the country
How ever, there is nothing wrong with planning for the future, and a
good time to start is now
