The December 17, 2025, Town Board Business Meeting will be held at the Caroline Town Hall by Zoom videoconference. Members of the public may attend in-person or by Zoom. Minutes and video recordings will be posted on the
Town of Caroline website. Comments may be provided at Privilege of the Floor during the meeting, by email (
cl...@townofcaroline.org), or by mail (PO Box 136, Slaterville Springs, NY 14881).

1Resolution ___ of 2025. Resolution in support of Tompkins County Highway measures to improve road safety in Brooktondale
Whereas, the Caroline Town Board is aware of public concerns about traffic speeds in the hamlet of Brooktondale; and
Whereas, radar speed reduction signs that provide real-time feedback to drivers have been shown to effectively reduce traffic speed on a long-term basis; and
Whereas, the Tompkins County Highway Department has deployed radar speed reduction signs in Brooktondale in recent years during the summer months when the Brooktondale Summer Camp is open; and
Whereas, the Tompkins County Highway Department is willing to consider installation of a radar speed reduction sign or signs with community support; therefore be it
Resolved, the Caroline Town Board supports installation of a radar speed reduction sign or signs and other road safety measures that Tompkins County Highway Department may recommend.
2Resolution ___ of 2025. Authorize expanded scope items for Old Town Hall Restoration Project
Whereas, the following items have been proposed to be added to the Old Town Hall Restoration Project: 1) gutters and downspouts ($43,600), 2) enclosed rear stairway to replace exterior fire escape ($154,000), 3) remove west side Bilco door, backfill, and rebuild stone foundation ($11,600), 4) remove side-entry concrete landings and steps and replace with wooden structures with canopies ($53,600), and 5) front gable detailing to reflect original bell tower footprint ($21,300), with revised estimate for total construction costs of $831,000; and
Whereas, the estimated town cost-share for this scope amendment is $563,501; and
Whereas, current available reserve and unreserved town funds total $1,078,460; therefore be it
Resolved, the Caroline Town Board hereby approves addition of these items to the Old Town Hall Restoration Project scope.
3Resolution ___ of 2025. Authorize the Supervisor to sign the Shared Services Agreement with Tompkins County for Snow & Ice Removal from roadways

5Resolution ___ of 2025. Approving Memorandum of Agreement between the Town and Teamsters Local 317, Town of Caroline Highway Employees, for 2026 wage increase of 2.7%
Resolved, the Caroline Town Board hereby approves a Highway Employees’ 2026 wage increase of 2.7%; and further be it
Resolved, this increase is limited solely to the implementation of a 2.7% COLA; and further be it
Resolved, the Supervisor is hereby authorized to sign the Memorandum of Agreement with Teamsters Local 317 to implement a 2.7% COLA for 2026 Highway Employee wages.
