hi friends, families and countrymen !

long time, no news. the giants of carmel 81 are moving and shaking
again ! good to know about the proposed get-together. but sorry, i can
not make it. i may be able to manage only during the summer vacation.

hope you will discuss something constructive for the betterment of the
mankind, during the get-together. that time when everyone has said
'bottoms up' the hundredth time, yes, that's when the best creative
ideas hidden in the grey areas become brighter and absolute consensus
will prevail-without much effort !! so, please collect agenda points
and circulate. 'suggestions to support anna hazare or julian assange'
may be included from my side.

we also need more participation through e-mails, friends. corruption
everywhere. jobs are being lost. inflation is hitting the roof, or
even blasting the roof and going beyond into space. when we are
totally cornered, why worry ? enjoy whatever we have and become bpl !!
rice- 1.5 rupees, dal- 1.6 rupees, sugar 1.7rupees, full insurance-
1.8 rupees, oh man, what a wonderful life !!!!! so you got another
point for the agenda.

that's all from my side.

regards to all. keep in touch.

ciby george.

Ciby
Sad that you can't make it in December. Am sure, we would be able to make it up during the summer break, with proper planning in advance.

By the way, your message is quite profound and patriotic- no, it even transcends the narrow boundaries of a simple nationalistic feelings - it is truly global, if not cosmic in nature.Nevertheless, have to admit that i found the lofty ideals - nay agenda - you set in your 'friends, romans n countrymen' sermon a bit too heavy for our proposed lowly g2gether (just kidding man!)
cheers
:D big grin

I dont know whether we need to set a social agenda for a get together which happens once in a while. I am very much in support for the topics mentioned by Ciby, which we can discuss here or on our facebook forums. May be after dicussions here, if we want to take it up further in action, ofcourse we can include in the Get together agenda.
I think all these Rs 1 / Kg rice schemes have made the keralites even more lazy. As such we are turning to be the diabetic capital of world. Its a pity that govts dont try to encourage people to earn their bread by hardwork. Politics thrives on the poor. So they need the poor not to come up in life. Free or subsidised Rice, TV, Gas, Petrole/ diesel etc can only harm the poor on the long run. Rs 13000 crore spent on koodamkulam power plant which can generate 2000MW, is 97% complete. Now it looks like the project may be shelved. Who is responsible for this tax payers money? A former CM said to have looted 1500 crore. He can afford to pay each and every voter in his constituency and win again to say 'in democaracy, people verdict is final!'. Another of his minister, son of a retd police constable is said to have looted 15000 crore... owns 3 helicopter, Rolls Royces.. Golden Chair, plate, spoon etc.. Just 15 years back, he is said to have been roaming in a cycle and then in TVS champ! It seems in Singapore, they planned early, spend quiet lot of money on waste / water management to keep the city so clean. In kerala day today waste management is becoming a nightmare. Instead of forseeing these problems 15-20 years back, govts happily disbursed all the tax payers money on the so called poor. There is said to be a debt of Rs 17000 on every malayalis head, Govts are happy subsidisng everything. Welfare of 3.5 crore people are more important than taking care of loss making KSRTC employees. The services are so horrible. Bed bugs, Leakages are the norm there. If they cannot run it properly, let them give it to private sector and tax them. At least it will ensure quality service and competition. Even in Railways, they provide same quality service they gave 30 years back. Air India is said to have an accumulated losses to the tune of 43000 crore! What social responsibilty did they do for the poor. Most of the Govt lands are being distributed to the so called poor everywhere. Nothing is being preserved for the future generation. In all I think only the deserving poor needs to be taken care by the system. 10 years back one kid told me that when he is old, he wants to be a peon atleast in govt service! May be today kids might say i want to be a 'poor' when i grow! In short, i want people like Anna Hazare to go much beyond corruption
