Namaskaaram,

I happen to participate in a crazy conference  conducted at Bangalore Economics of Happiness Conference 2014  last Saturday.

I was listening the whole day to a bunch of crazy people around the world talk about  the problems with the  current economic model.  Few  interesting themes  I picked up

- Need to move from Globalisation  to  Localisation (localised production, delivery & consumption)

- Sustainable  Development  -  Need to relook at  current definition of development

- Learning Societies  (   - Manish Jain ,Swaraj University)

- Alchemy of Dreams : Explore your Dark side  - By  Bayo Akomolafe from Nigeria

Last one was an interesting breakout session after lunch  which had a packed room  due to the title as you can guess. You have to listen to this guy.  I found a video  on the same topic from last year’s conference in Australia. It is  about  16 mins.  Bayo Akomolafe: We Will Tell Our Stories

I felt at home with the ideas that were being discussed  the whole day and was excited to see many initiatives already  being tried  in many parts of the world. I realised with a sense of joy that I too am going crazy :)

Cheers,

Joyson

Great to learn that you're trying to chase your dreams and indeed it's very nice of you to share this crazy stuff. I'm quite excited about the prospect of exploring my darker side (! did anyone see the symptoms of midlife crisis showing it's ugly head now n then?! *:-O
surprise) . Need to reach home to each the website as the firewalls  at work (who cares for the work, huh?!) won't allow me to check out the video! *:( sad

Thank you once again
cheers
thomas

Joyson,
Had a look at the video. The story is interesting and frustrating.
Not sure whether the globalization will have to look back at localisation after a stage.
We can relate to the story of the African to our old village facts..
Go crazy, that is the only way to get away from the established thoughts.
Regards
Paul
