I remember one day when there were 32 a side, a group of Langold lads
had come down
for a game.
I remember you well ErM and your pal Nikky (Nicolson) not many got past
you two,
that is with out a bruise on their leg.

I also remember those games, except my memory says tht they started in
the afternoon, after dinner. Erm is right about the numbers, and it was
possible to hear Brian Downs from about one mile away, shouting
instructions. As darkness approached, someone would declare 'next goals
winner', and that was a sign to go home. Scores didn't matter, it could
have been 25 - 16. It was the taking part that was important.

If you are the David Matthews that lived on Hundred Acre lane/
Telegraph lane.
I dont ever remember you turning up at the Rec, your interests were
more the
nurses at the hospital up there.
With regards to kicking lumps out of Eric, yes you used to do that
daily to all the
small boys at school.
Last I heard of you was that you had taken up wrestling, Cadillac Joe,
or some
like name.
I see Eric from time to time, will tell him that at least one in his
class at school
is still living, I know he thought he was all that was left.

I heard that DM was living somewhere South of here,
possibly Northampton, or soewhere like that. Also. Mary Tinsley lives
in Rosedale, Norht Yorks. She and Isabelle were in Carlton last June,
visiting their old home. Mary also has a property in Florida. We all
move on , don't we?

Nice to know you are still alive and kicking. Which part of the
country are you living. Do you ever get back to Carlton? Certainly more
traffic around than when you lived here. Times have changed, the kids
are not even allowed to go in the 'school wood' any more - too
dangerous!! We were never out of there.
