Hi All,

I've received some new pictures of Carlton life from Steve Rayner.

I've put them on the Carlton Census website at: http://www.carltoncensus.co.uk/pictures.htm

I've also put them in the Files section of this discussion group.

Any comments welcome. I've a feeling that some of the people in this
group might be able to identify some of the faces in the pictures.

Best Regards, Jon.

Based on the information I've had over the past couple of days, I've
managed to get some more people identified on the Carlton School 1941
picture. I've put a caption file (Carlton school 1941 caption.txt) in
the Files section of this website.

Any extra people you can recognise would be gratefully received.

Jon.

I looked at the additional info on the School Staff. Yes, Winnie
Moore is the one third from left She was the one who used to slap lads legs,
with a diamond shaped ring turned round on her finger to increase the pain!!
I think second left is Mrs Walker, married to Frank Walker, a
builder who lived opposite the Grey Horses. The smaller man on the back row
is definitely NOT squire Ramsden, in my view.

Thanks to Gypsy, I've put another couple of pictures in the Files
section of this website:

One of the village dance c1952, with a caption file (carlton hop c1952
captions.txt)
and another of a village cricket team (in the 1930s).

Any faces that anybody can identify would be excellent.

Best Regards, Jon.
