Thanks for all the words of consolation I have been receiving from you all. It has been of great solace in the period.
Please find below funeral arrangement for my late father Chief Benedict Osita who passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015. He was 71 years old:
Christian Wake Keeping
· Date: Friday, August 21, 2015
· Venue: Osita’s family compound in Ogwor, Ishiagu, Ivo L.G.A. Ebonyi State
· Time: 6:00pm
Lying in State, Funeral Mass, Interment & Reception
· Date: Saturday, August 22, 2015:
· 8:00am: Body leaves Eastern Nigeria Medical Centre, Uwani, Enugu for the Osita’s residence
· 9:00am – 9:40am: Lying in State at his compound
· 10:00am: Mass at St Peter’s Catholic Church, Ameagu, Ishiagu, Ebonyi State (Interment follows immediately after mass)
· 12:00 noon onward: Entertainment/Refreshment
Thanksgiving Mass / Outing
· Date: Sunday, August 23, 2015
· Venue: St Peter’s Catholic Church, Ameagu, Ishiagu
· Time: 8:00am
Please note the following:
· ‘Aso ebi’ material for the event is now available. Lagos and Eket folks should please contact Omolola Lawal (NPO, Ext. 21045) and Gloria Ibanga (OTS, Eket, Ext. 36206) respectively for pick up. Price is N3,000.
· MPN bus with security will depart Eket on Saturday, August 22 for Ishiagu, Ebonyi State (6:00am) and return to Eket same day
· Lagos based personnel are strongly encouraged to travel by air to Enugu airport
ü Soji Adekogbe (08172067616) and Chukudi Egbuta (08172067247) will be responsible for coordinating air travels and accommodation. Please contact them early if you are interested in travelling via Enugu airport/accommodation. Details of available flight to Enugu will be provided to interested persons
ü Bus with security will be available to convey travelers to and fro Enugu airport to Ishiagu from Friday through Sunday
· Carlton Gate Residents could pick up Aso-ebi from my wife, Anita (08172072767) at Plot 117A, Road B2. Price is N3,000.
· Ishiagu village is ~15mins drive from Ishiagu Junction along Enugu – Port Harcourt Expressway. Ishiagu Junction is less than:
ü 45mins from Enugu City / Airport
ü 1hr from Umuahia
ü 1hrs 30mins from Aba
ü 2hrs 30mins from Port Harcourt
ü 2hrs 30mins from Onitsha
ü 3hrs 30mins from Eket
