Dear Resident,

I regrettably inform residents that we recorded a security breach in the estate in the early hours of this morning in the "A" wing of the estate.

To this effect, the scenes of the breaches have been visited by the residents' association, the security company and other stakeholders.

I wish to assure residents that all hands are on deck to bring to a final end this ugly and regrettable incident. The residents' association in conjunction with other stakeholders in the estate is currently engaging the estate management company in this regard.

We urge residents to be on the alert at this time. Details of the new security measures will be communicated to residents on or before Monday.

Thank you all.

Good evening Mr. President,

I join the resident association to empathize with the affected residents.

Please could you shed more light on the kind of security breach so we all know what we are dealing with. These breaches are becoming too rampant for ones comfort.

Also what are the'fat bellied' mobile policemen doing? ‎Are they not suppose to be patrolling the estate? I can't remember an instance where their intervention saved the day. Is high time  we swap them for new ones. I guess they have become too relaxed and complacent

Regards,

Seb

Further to my earlier mail of Saturday, 12th September, 2015, I wish to appraise residents as follows:

1. That the security breach referred to in the said mail referred to the vandalisation of vehicles in the "A" wing of the estate and theft of certain parts of the affected vehicle parts. The particular  stolen parts were the brain boxes of the vehicles - all Toyota Corolla vehicles (2008 - 2014 models) and one Toyota Hiace bus whose brain box was also carted away. In addition, the inner door accessories of these cars were stolen.

2. CGEMCL, CGERA EXCO members, the estate security committee, the security company - Proton Security and other stake-holders met all through the weekend to brain-storm on this latest incident and introduced fresh security measures which will be communicated via letters to all residents. These measures will also be discussed at the next general meeting.

We verily believe these new measures will bring an end to this nefarious and condemnable act. The new measures have taken effect from today while additional measures will be introduced in days to come.

In the meantime, residents are advised to remain vigilant by installing beam / search lights and functional CCTV camera in their homes. We also appeal to all residents to comply with the new security measures as they unfold.

Thank you all.
