Hi folks.
I have two questions on two different subjects:
1) Does anyone know how I might find out more about a man listed in 1850 Griffith's Valuation? Joseph Brown, Queen's, Maryborough East, Mountmellick, Borris, Maryborough.
I think he could be my husband's gggm's father or brother. (She named her second son Joseph).
2) When a marriage (in 1840) is listed as being in the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin, does it mean that the couple were married in a Roman Catholic church or were all marriages required to be registered through the Catholic church, even if the couple were Protestant?
