Hi Jane & everybody,
I'm still looking for people in Ireland, but one of Michael Dwyer's grandsons, Robert James DWYER, emigrated to the US on the "Cedric" from Qeenstown, Co. Cork, arriving in New York on 25th May, 1925. His final destination was given as Prompton Lakes.
He married Florence Genevive BATTEYon 4th April, 1929 (his 30th birthday) at Grace Methodist Church, Brooklyn, NY.
In the 1930 Census, Robert J Dwyer & his wife, Florence, were lodging at 178 St. Mark's Avenue, Brooklyn. He was a clerk in grocery & Florence was a stenographer in insurance.
Can't find out any more about him except a photo of his gravestone was sent to his brother, Eddie, sometime in the early 1950's. I thnk there might have been children but not sure.
He was born in Farnans, Queens County, 4th April, 1899.
Anyhelp on where to look wold be great.
Geraldine
