Imagine if Howard McCurdy had've been elected as leader of the NDP! He
would have been the first black leader of a major political party in the
Western world. He would have done so much to advance the plight of black
Canadians. And he would have made every Canadian proud. And he could have
been Prime Minister. A real leader.

But, NDP members say, Howard McCurdy didn't have what it takes. Of course
he didn't. Only Audrey McLaughlin could have won a whopping 9 seats.
Only Audrey McLaughlin could have thought up the ingenious idea of using
American advertising in a Canadian election. Only Audrey McLaughlin could
have gained in the elction fighting the hated NAFTA deal. Good choice guys.
