Let's all thank Bob Rae

Yes, let's all be thankful for the almost 5 years of his stellar
stewardship of our province, as with his employment equity, welfare rates
hightest in the country, and labour legislation created the political
climate in reaction to his policies that elected Mike Harris. Chretien
mentioned workfare in the 93 federal campaign, but backed off-thanks to
Rae, that will be a reality in Ontario, not to mention the 21.6% cut and
the phone number to report welfare criminals. And, let's not forget the
repeal of the labour legislation forbidding the hiring of replacement
workers-its great to see him gone; in retrospect, Rae for his time was the
best thing possible, as not only are they finished on the provincial level
in Ontario, he helped the NDP to non-party status in the House of Commons
with 9 seats elected, NONE of which were from Ontario.
Congratulations Bob, for a job well done.
