For immediate release
Bharat Khakhria, known simply as Bear, is a 21 year-old Carleton
University student who has recently announced his intention to seek the
Reform Party of Canada nomination in the riding of Ottawa-West Nepean.
Bear has been actively involved with the community for many years. He has
worked for the Reform club at Carleton as well as for various Indian
community groups and local charities. Bear has extensive work experience
in both the legal field and in starting his own consulting group.
Bear intends to use this volunteer and employment experience to help
further the Reform cause as their candidate nominee and as the Reform
Member of Parliament for the riding. The nomination date is March 6, 1997.

A more current example of my point:
Did you know that the NDP once had a policy of nationalising banks?
Did you know it no longer has such a policy?
Would you now still start talking about the NDP as the party that wants to
nationalise banks?
If so, you'd be lying.

My friend.. and probably the person who complained to D.C.C.S... your
term 'white trash idiot' does me a great disservice. But, it is what
exemplifies the thinking of society today, specifically those disillusioned
with their identity. How would u ever come to the conclusion I was WHITE
and an NDP'er? Typical reform thinking.... looking at the spelling of my
name and coming up with mis-contrived conceptions. And as for racist labels
'white trash,'that appears to be name calling hypocrite. And as for my
above comments, they represent a cynical view. But hey.. Reform is a
'multicultural party.'

The 5 federal NDP supporters proudly point to Uncle Tom as being the
father of medicare-seems he wasn't so benevolent in what he wanted the
medicare to be used for. I am sure the Seaman family line is grateful that
the challenged people were not sterilized.

I think you're missing the point. You see, apart from the 5 federal NDP
supporters left, apart from their 9 member caucus, nobody seems to care-if
a tree falls in a forest, and NOBODY is around to hear it, does it make a
sound? Same dillemma with the federal NDP and their policies, as most
intelligent people dismiss them at the slightest mention.

If they're so irrelevant, why are you and Ian still kicking around here
making them look like nobody cares. If nobody really cared, you wouldn't
bother. For example, I don't hear you getting on the case of the Natural
Law Party......now there's a party that doesn't matter.
But let's talk releveance out there in the Canadian public....the last
Compas/Globe poll sez:
National:
LIB 47%
PC 14%
NDP 13%
BQ 13%
REF 11%
Since I know that you believe the Reform Party to be a viable alternative,
and they're at 11% (projected to 22 seats), and the NDP is at 13%,
(projected to 13 seats), who are you to say that a Party that is 2% ahead
of yours in natioanl polls is not viable?

I cannot speak for Ian, but I do post a whole lot less than he does on
Usenet, period. However, it is possible to post and not care-ever see
"Quest for the Holy Grail?" Ever see the part with the Black Knight where
he wants to keep on fighting? Well, the funny part is, everybody else but
the black knight knows that he is impotent and couldn't hurt a fly-and
that is the reason why it is funny. Same thing with the odd poke at the
NDP-sure, the 5 federal NDP supporters try to put up a brave front, but it
makes no difference whatsoever, as they are a spent force. Thanks so much

Strange-in March 1993, Reform was down to 8% in the polls-and they came
out with almost 500% more representation than both the Tories and the
NDP-I guess that's the reason why I don't stay up at night worrying about
the latest poll.
