Hi guys,

Here are the minutes (below) from this past Tuesday's Varsity Council
meeting. Our Varsity Council is putting on a food drive in support of
the Ottawa Food Bank from Nov. 15 to Dec. 16. There will be
collection bins in the main athletics hall, and at the ice house.
Each team is being asked to contribute 50 boxes of Kraft dinner (or
equivalent), plus as many additional items as possible by spreading
the word amongst contacts. I learned that 43,000 people use the food
bank each year. If we all brought in a couple of things, or got our
friends to, that would go a long way. There is also a committee
beginning to plan our annual Carleton varsity banquet. I have a
committment most weeks during the VC meetings, so if we have someone
who is able to go (or has been going already), please let me know.
The next meeting is Thursday Nov. 17th, 11:00 AM. Meetings are held
every two weeks, and alternate between Tuesdays and Thursdays at
11:00. Have a great weekend,

Tim

Thanks for going to the meeting Tim

If we just drop off the food at the bins, how do they know the rowing team gave the food, or does it not matter?

Also, does anyone know if there is anything going on at the club house this weekend, and do they need help?

Denis, I will ask if there is a system for knowing which teams have donated food.  I think, though, that it is done on the honour system.

I am available Tuesday and Thursday mornings, but next term I can only
do Thursdays. So I can do the next meeting, by Thursday the 17th, did
you mean today or Thursday? Did anyone go if it was today?
