An excellent game. Now called Rise of Castles since a recent update. There is so many different events and quests to keep you interested. It is possible to compete without spending money, especially if you take advice from more experienced players. I know I am not alone when I say one of the most appealing attractions is a lively social aspect. You can chat to people from all over the world, either in state chat or alliance chat. The camaraderie that will develop within your alliance and indeed your state, as the game progresses is beyond comparison. This last event would have helped a lot for new players if he told them that they couldn't take the already brightly color tiles because hundreds if not thousands of people were just garrisoning their own troops and friendly alliances tiles and getting nowhere there seems to be no heads up on how to participate in upcoming events and if there is it's 30 pages long and two convoluted to understand break it down into short I don't know four section screens with steps and leave that there the entire time the event is going so anytime anybody has a question they can click in the upper right hand corner and there's their answer

I love the game itself, and my team mates are fantastic (the core group). But I cannot stand the bullies who think they own the state. They behave as though the rules only apply to others and not themselves. Also, the game developers have made it so China gets half price on all the packs, leaving everyone else struggling. They can build so fast and get castles massive and powerful and just pound the crud out of everyone else. Ruins a lot of the fun, and definitely takes the sportsmanship out of the game. They boast about it not being pay to play, but everyone knows that's the biggest line out there. The devs are really hit and miss when there's an account issue... more miss in my experience. BUT, if you get in a good alliance and stick with it, the game is really a lot of fun, and you can make some incredible friendships. If you get in an alliance you don't like, then find another one that's a better fit. They're not all the same, and that's important to know.

I really love the game play. It is though a very hard to be a free to play player which I am. Players who spend and they have to spend a lot, always win . Developers should put provinces against provinces in the same spending category to make it more fair. Still love it though

- pairing with Chinese states for Reign of Choas. Chinese players can buy stuff much cheaper than other players and many play with different ethics, like attacking gathering troops, zeroing farms etc.

- forgetting to shield up may unproportionally be punished with a huge loss of powerpoints, and units. For instance, last time this happened to me, instant resurrection of a few million t9 and t8 units would have cost more than 2500 Dollars.

I really love this game! Been playing for about 5 months now and have made some good friends and really enjoyed it! I think there are a few small glitches that could be worked out but overall, great game.

It's too expensive. The more you play, the more expensive it becomes. The payers will always be leaps and bounds ahead of non-payers. Each week new items that cost money and usually no items for free or that you can earn by grinding through missions or events

Don"t waste your money or time on this game. If you get stuck in a province you don"t like, too bad. You are stuck there. Go ahead and buy migration papers. You won't be able to use them. If you can spend hundreds if not thousands you will enjoy it. Can't leave 0 stars or I would.

I think R.o.E. is a great game, but isn't for everyone. I will be honest about this being a PTW game and there are some whales. That being said you can compete without dumping tons of $$$ in, but you do have to put in the time. If you wanna play free you'll need to make farms... find a video on how to make it. Good luck!

It's a Pay to win game, the developper pass 99% of time add purchasable features! People with credits cards rule on rest of others! It could be a good strategy game but free to play players quit every day! Get replaced by new ones who eventually quit also.

Love the game. Can be played free or play cheap upgrades to really up the experience. The game lasts long enough to make money spent with it. I've played over 2 years and still not maxed or at the end of the game

It's ok. Could be much better if hero have different skills so it would create different play styles. Also, cash shop is very expensive, and players who invest a lot of time, won't have any options against money spenders (i spend)

The game is ok, but nothing like what you are led to believe, you are at a disadvantage if you don't pay. When you get to level 6, it goes pvp and you will get ganked several times a day by players twice your level losing your troops and resources. If that is what you are into, go for it

It is a good game, even though I personally do not like the idea of playing any video game where constant cash purchases allow you to speed things along. Knowing full well there are players who clearly spend $100 or more every month, I tend to resist spending more than $5 every other month and I have been playing for a little over 2 years. But in the time I have been playing, other than those frustrating, if occasional times when I go after Giants or Wight Kings and no one helps, I find the game quite enjoyable.

It's all about real money, if your wallet is weak and your mental health is not strong enough, stay away! This is where people come to bully others using real money! Full of hate and all sort of nosense

The game is a very comprehensive and fun game. You must adhere to state rules. You should not act on your own. Follow alliance recommendations. Build at least 6 farm castles. It will be very difficult to find resources in the next levels. You can loot the resources you need from your farms.

It is a great game and very indepth... it allows for a lot of options when building legions and heroes. So you know going in you will run into players who throw down a lot of $$, but even though they are strong in the beginning you can get there in time. How long depends on the player. Also this game is demanding and being in a competitive alliance means playing at odd times... like for example my alliance R.o.C. wars start +8 hrs after reset and the reset was at 7 p.m. for me. That put our wars at 3 a.m. but that isn't the case for everyone. If you want to lvl up without using real money then I'd suggest checking into building farms (castles built for RSS for main account). Anyways I like this game and I think most know by the end of the first COP if this game is for them... good luck!

It is not a game for fun. It is a game for business fellow earn money. So the best thing is just play and don't waist your money. You'll have to face events attached to a circle. When you tried to update a building,and search for resources finally you'll have to buy it using your own money. How dare,.!!So I said again. It is not a game for FUN.

Basically gambling disguised as a game you have to pay in order to succeed and if you don't you will have no chance of success. The game quickly becomes tedious as many players exit the game after one to two months. The customer service is slow and frustrating with inconsiderate answers provided the next day if you are lucky. I wish I did not spend my time and money on this. Thankyou.

Horrible Customer service. Sometimes it takes them 3 days for you to even get the first reply.... then the waiting time after the first reply can be some time as well. lots of flaws with this game. It is purely pay to win on a "free play" game.

Game could be fun, but completely unrealistic cash store as a cash user due to high cost with little no benefits. Also do to in game competition a lot of heavy cash user/serious gamers like to force their concept of how game should be play on casual player base which lead to highly toxic state community and during roc/eden also

Played for 6 months, made it to C25, then quit. Our province had far too much drama and eventually the strongest alliance migrated away. The whole alliance. Game is very time consuming. Resources are scarce so you need farms to make it more efficient. I had 4, but playing 5 accounts became a burden. Purchases aren't necessary but spending some money is desirable (like extra workers) for efficiency. Events are repetitive. Need to constantly use shields to protect resources. Translation function is not very useful. Overall, ok game. Good in the beginning but the grind gets old real quick once around C20.

Content is heavily focus on cash user, game play is enjoyable but purposely has hidden wall that reduce your chance at earning certain in game content through free/earn in game methods. Such hidden pay wall as token store and earning hero through fragment once you get so many fragments/hero token. There is sharp decline in how often you see 5x fragment for that hero (60each) see mostly 20x(1k each). These are meant to encourage you use money or burn your hard earn currency in game in a unproductive way. Way they make game competitive between cash/free without cutting their profits but they rather few CRAZY heavy user ,then huge player base willing to spend 5$-10$ all time and high competitive servers. Want states everyone try migrate to ,because full of power user. Could be such great game but a typical over greedy company ruins at great game template
