Jobs are a cornerstone of development, says World Development Report 2013. 600 million
jobs have to be created over the coming 15 years to keep current employment rates.

Last month we have started coaching a group of experts from Honduras, Guatemala, El
Salvador and Nicaragua, who are searching entrepreneurial solutions for disadvantaged
youth in Central America. You can follow this community in Spanish at
http://www.coempren.de. This capacity development programme is financed until 2014 by
the German Cooperation implemented by GIZ. We hope to come up with entrepreneurial
solutions for unemployed youth.
We also joined the Brussels-based association GlobalFair aisbl. GlobalFair created a
new and innovative programme: JobInvest. Job creation and private sector confidence as
well as the aspect of mutual learning and vocational formation are at the centre of
this project. As a side effect, the creation of small businesses and start-ups is
stimulated – the driving forces in every prosperous economy. See
