Hello Friends – A reminder that the Hanley internships site is now live and students should start preparing their applications.

Students should also keep an eye on the website, as we expect several more internships to be posted.

So, now that this has started, I am looking for some volunteers to read applications.

We have set the date for the review meeting to be noon to 5 on Tuesday February 25.  Judiann is in the process of securing a location in Augusta to help our friends coming from the North (thanks to everyone who has consistently traveled to Brunswick!)

If you are interested in participating, please let me know!  This meeting is always a lot of fun, and I will bring food.  Food is good.

If there are other Maine advisors who are not on this list, please let me know so that I can send a special invitation to them.

A couple of notes:

  1. If you know an advisor who did not get this email – please forward and send their name to Seth (sra...@bowdoin.edu) so they can be included on future emails.
  2. When speaking with students, please let them know that we expect them to follow through when they make a commitment to a site, we have struggled with students reneging after the they have accepted offers.
  3. Encourage your students to consider positions NOT in Portland – they often have fewer applicants.
  4. Students should NOT ask sites for academic credit, as of right now these are paid opportunities only.

Let me know if you have any questions!
