The Division of Social and Economic Sciences (SES), in the Directorate for Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences (SBE) at the National Science Foundation (NSF), advances fundamental understanding of how people live, work, and cooperate with one another. The Fellow will

engage SES division leadership and program officers in analyses, communications, and related matters to assess a variety of outcomes.

 

Activities include, but not limited to:

  • Will learn how to collaborate with Division Director and Deputy Director, along with others in the division, to identify data pertinent to the fellowship and its objectives, map out a plan of action, and identify in the scientific literature and in practice how to achieve the goals and objectives of this critical effort.
  • Collaborate with the PAOS leadership team in SES and across NSF to further the successful implementation of the 2023 NSF Public Access Plan and further the myriad of goals and objectives of NSF’s Public Access Initiative and the 2023 Year of Open Science.

 

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Being a U.S. Citizen of Lawful Permanent Resident
  • Be 18 years of age at the time of applying.
  • The ideal candidate will have SBE background.
  • Knowledge of social sciences.
