The Data, Modeling, and Analysis Opportunity with the Vehicle Technologies Office (U.S. Department of Energy – Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy) is now accepting applications.
What will I be doing? The Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO) is seeking talented and committed to engage in the VTO Data, Modeling, and Analysis opportunity. This Fellowship will last one year, with the opportunity to renew for an additional year at discretion of the sponsoring office. Your learning opportunities include:
These activities will be carried out in collaboration with a team of federal employees at all levels, other fellows, support service contractors, and National Lab experts.

The office’s investments leverage the unique capabilities and world-class expertise of the National Laboratory system to develop new innovations in vehicle technologies, including: advanced battery technologies, advanced materials for lighter-weight vehicle structures and superior powertrains, energy-efficient mobility technologies and systems, advanced powertrains and fuels to decarbonize the transportation system, and technology deployment and integration at the local and state level. The office is uniquely positioned to address early-stage challenges due to its strategic research partnerships with industry that leverage relevant technical and market expertise.

The details:
You will receive a competitive stipend, a supplement to offset the costs of health insurance, a research materials and travel allowance (up to $10,000), and relocation reimbursement (up to $5,000). Federal holidays are observed.
You must be a U.S. Citizen or LPR. You must be currently pursing, or have completed requirements for, a Master’s or Doctoral degree.
