When Jacob went to his first ADEA GoDental Recruitment Event, he went alone. No predental advisor, no family in dentistry and no roadmap for what came next.
Today, he is a second-year dental (D2) student at Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine and the host of the 2026 ADEA GoDental Recruitment Event in Montréal, Québec, Canada on March 21.
If you’re thinking about dentistry, even if you don’t feel “ready” this is the event to mark on your calendar.

In this short video, Jacob shares how growing up in a small rural town in Aztec, NM, and having no dentists in his family made the dental school journey feel isolating and overwhelming, especially without strong predental resources at his college.
Events like the ADEA GoDental Recruitment Event gave him the information, encouragement and connections he needed to move from “Can I really do this?” to “I secured a seat in dental school.”
