Position: Business Analyst with security master
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6 Months Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEYS:
BA, security master/accounting systems/pricing of securities - some fixed income/money
markets,
solid
SQL
|
|
Minimum Requirements:
- 7+ years BA experience -
prefer experience with fixed income and short term money market
securities.
- Solid SQL querying and data
analysis skills; experience with Oracle, Sybase and/or MS SQL Server.
- Knowledge of security
master and pricing reference data systems.
- Strong experience with investment
management accounting systems, preferably Thomson PORTIA.
- Preferable - experience
with portfolio management or trading applications for buy-side
investment firms, especially Bloomberg.
- Familiar with star schema
data warehouse concepts and experience with client reporting using
Cognos advantageous.
- Demonstrated project skills
and experience in all phases of system development life cycle, notably
analysis and testing phases.
- Thorough working knowledge
of MS Office and candidates with advanced skills in Excel, Access,
Visio and/or MS Project
- Prior development
experience with Java, Perl or Google Web Toolkit a bonus.
- Work closely and
successfully with demanding business users.
- Bachelor’s degree or
equivalent.
