(IEP Support/Product Development/ L2-L3 Support)
Minimum of 7+ years overall IT experience: including 5+ years of web development and integration experience, 4+ years of combination of Liferay (Version 6+ and DXP) configuration and development
Responsibilities
• Responsibility of 40% Administration work within Liferay and 60% of development with Liferay DXP
• Responsible for leading Liferay portal configuration including user management, dashboards, graphs, reports, widgets and other display elements for data in the portal
• Participates in the design of server architecture, deployment topology, for Liferay portal platform, for functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop configurable software services that support applications, integrates to enterprise services
• Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting including bug remediation in Liferay environment
• Create or update design and systems documentation for developed or modified services or programs
• Create process and data flow diagrams for data movement capture
• Analyze and translate business requirements to technical design
• Collaborate/communicate with project team and business users as required
• Support functional testing and performance testing
• Ensure assigned work is implemented within schedules/timelines
• Strong Automotive OEM experience
• Solid understanding of various enterprise services and micro-service concepts/Twelve-Factor App Methodology Guidelines
Technical Experience
• Experience in Portal Application Development using Liferay 7.x with DXP
• Solid experience in Liferay portal configuration and strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems
• Experience with Liferay Themes, Hooks, Plugins, Layout.
• Experience with Liferay Content management
• Experience in API Design and Integration experience using SOAP , REST
• Experience with administration, configuration management, debugging, and performance tuning of Portal
• Experience with Identity Management/ Authorizations with Liferay using SAML
• Experience performing Liferay portal customization with hooks and EXT plugins
• Experience developing Java applications with frameworks like Spring(Security), Struts, Hibernate
• Strong object-oriented analysis and design experience
• Experience in CSS, HTML5 and JavaScript (Angular, JQuery, Bootstrap, etc), JSON, XML
• Experience in web application architecture, particularly Single Page Application design
• Proficient with UML models, and use them for communicating and documenting application designs
• Experience with the Spring Framework and general MVC frameworks
• Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. SVN/git, JIRA Jenkins, Maven, etc.)
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, Single Sign On, SAML, OAuth
• Experience in working with various web application servers (WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat)
Additional:
• Experience with DevOps in a cloud environment a plus
• Experienced in waterfall, iterative, and agile methodologies
