We are excited to let you know about a FREE Career event held in conjunction with Social Media Week Los Angeles!

Social Media and Your Career will feature a panel of career leaders and Social Media experts who will give practical information about how to use Social Media to build the career you desire. We’ll talk not only about the “why” of Social Media, but also about “how” it can, and should, be used, so that you are in control of all aspects of your career.

Building the career you deserve means becoming both director and promoter of it–No one cares as much about your career as you do. This means taking the lead in ‘Telling people what you do and how you do it!” Social Media provides the tools needed to develop the jobs and projects that make one’s career unique and fulfilling.

The Event will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 7:00 pm in Northridge, California. Featured panelists include:

  • Douglas E. Welch
  • Susan M. Baker of Escape Hatcher
  • Marla Dennis of Social Media Savvy, and
  • Jennifer Oliver O'Connell of As The Girl Turns.

Colton Stenke and Denise "The Oracle" Cook will moderate the Event. Full bios for each panelist/moderator appear below.

This Event is a wonderful opportunity to network and gain valuable tools and practical information on how to use Social Media to further your career plans and goals. We welcome 9 to 5ers, career transitioners, entrepreneurs, business owners, independent contractors--anyone who wishes to maximize their career journey and online presence!

Registration is now open! Go to http://socialmediaweek.org/event/?event_id=70 to sign up. We also have a blog,  http://socialmediaandyourcareer.wordpress.com, which gives information and updates on the Event, as well as useful tools and tidbits on Social Media and the career mindset.

Feel free to forward this information on to your networks.

Thank you for your time, and we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, September 21 for Social Media and Your Career!

Best regards,

Jennifer Oliver O'Connell
