I visited Maxine at her apartment at Chelo's Saturday and helped her figure out what she wanted to take to Sofy Cares and what she wanted to sell or give away.  Her maid, Socorro, dropped by and told us that Maxine hasn't paid her since Maxine went into the hospital despite the fact that Socorro came regularly to take care of her plants and dust.  took Sunday's flowers to Toni Roberts and Maxine Arnold. Toni Roberts told me that Sofy now takes care of Maxine's finances, so I wrote an email to Sofy asking her to help Socorro get paid what she is owed. 

Today, after lunch, I brought Sunday's flowers from the service to Toni and Maxine.  I also played Rumikub with Toni and Wyman.  Toni is doing better and is still thinking of leaving Sofy's and trying to rent one of the other condos in the complex.

Thank you, Pat, for always caring and visiting Maxine, Toni, and Wyman.  I was at Sofy Cares last week with Tom Rosiello and another new member who would like to help with the Care Team.  We now have 6 UUers at Sofy Cares! 

We had a good talk with Sofia herself and visited with the residents there, except Maxine who was busy getting her apartment ready for rent…. Sofia did tell us about several apartments similar to the ones she is renting now which are in the same complex and available for rent.  A two bedroom 2 baths apartment, new construction, and with the swimming pool nearby would be available for $800 a month, and could easily be shared by two persons.  The persons renting would have to be fairly independent to live there but would have available some of the services Sofia is offering in the building across, at a price.  I think this could be a very good deal for someone!

 I have been in touch with Theo who had lost her phone but now got a new one and is still interested in giving collage classes. 

If you can, please, do visit Theo. Best is to call her caretaker, Angela, at: 415 115 3178 to check if Theo will be home.

Jerry hopes to be finished with his treatment in April and I look forward to his return here!
