Pro King Flashers are made using the OPTI Inticer two-fin flasher blade. Heavy-duty stainless hardware with welded rings are standard on every flasher. The unique design can be trolled at a wide range of speeds from 1.0 to 3.3 MPH. Pro King Flashers come in dozens of tournament winning colors.
In Human, the Flashers wear black jumpsuits with white gloves and boots. They all wear fly head-like helmets with silver antlers pointing to the sides that cover most of their heads except for their mouths and chins. The color of their heads depends on what kind of Flasher they are. There are regular flashers which have blue heads, Flasher Red Eyes which have red heads, Flasher Black Masks which have black heads, and Flasher Pink Masks which have pink heads. The regular flashers also have different colored straps spanning across their chests. The color of the strap also depends on what kind of Flasher they are.
I also became well acquainted with a fellow named Shane Ruboyianes the head honcho at Dreamweaver Lures, which just happens to be one of the Great Lakes largest and most popular manufacturer of spoons, cut plugs, diving devices, flashers, Mylar trolling flies and best of all the rotating flasher, the Dreamweaver.
Before sitting down to put this story together I took the time to contact ten of the largest tackle stores around the Great Lakes on both sides of the border. I asked a simple question. What is your most popular rotating salmon flasher? Of the ten replies, nine were the Dreamweaver Spin Doctor. Nine out of ten is pretty impressive and actually I expected a ten out of ten response.
So why are fish attracted to flashers and flies? Most believe that the salmon thinks the flasher is another salmon attacking a school of baitfish. The fly serves as the wounded baitfish trailing behind, and that is something few salmon can resist.
My skills at photography do not do this product justice a-at-all! It's hard to capture color images that resemble the Reel-Flashers. The highly reflective and glossy finish bounces back the flash, just like it's supposed to do. The flashers in reel-life appear much better and most importantly,............to the fish!
Most are $12.99, with the double, glow taped models going for $14.99 dollars.
These are special introductory prices good thru July 4th, 2004. There will be a price increase after that date of a dollar per flasher.
I pay the shipping on all orders over 100 dollars.
Orders over 200 dollars will receive at least one free complimentary "Special Pro Staff" flasher blade to try and report on.
Shipping on orders of less then $100.00?....a 5 dollar shipping charge will be added. Michigan 6% Sales Tax will be added for Michigan residents only.
To order?....I'll need a complete mailing address and a credit card number. Please send me this information to my E-mail box at: kingsc...@yahoo.com

What is the average down speed most troll at? I generally do fairly well with meat rigs and spoons at 2.1 on the Depth Raider but not so well with a flasher/fly. I'm thinking I need to bump my speed up. Any feedback greatly appreciated.
Those speeds are a good starting point but experiment and see what seems to hit. If you look at some of the underwater video footage that has been shown here with fish chasing after the flasher/fly combo it appeared that many of the fish following had a hard time "catching" the fly even after trying several times to get it....it suggests to me that perhaps the fast action attracts the fish to chase but if it alternates with slower speeds it may give the following fish a better chance to "capture" his prey.
Something to think about...... when that dipsy starts screaming and your watching in awww as 500' of line is gone. You can't troll too fast, it's what the lures are designed to swim at. A king cruises at 5-7mph and has burst speed's of 20+ , he/she is slowing down to check out your spread.
I've got hours of my own video from last year and what it shows is fish in a neutral to negative mood. They (the kings) have no problem keeping up with and in over 10x striking my Spin Doctor and fly combo. Yes, they miss but do you really think they always hit there intended pray ? As a predator kings slash through a school of bait fish and then spin around and clean up the wounded and dying. When you find active kings on bait and there feeding strong ..... ever find your fly/lure at the back of there throat ? they don't have any problems catching food.
the killer rig for us was a small dodger usaly glow with specs and a fly or squid close to the ball about four feet.We put on a cheater about two fhree feet above with a small horde following the fly or squid. This worked very well on deep kings and we also ran it between 1.5 and 2.0 on our kingfish.
Lund, agreed a king can do laps around the boat. The real issue is the lure action. It is designed to have a "real" looking action at a speed of 2 to 3 mph. To fast the action is hectic, too slow and not enough action. I find I get alot of triggers at 2.5 - 2.8 mph GPS speed, which is normally around 2.1 - 2.5 mph downspeed.
